Delegation from Silesian University of Technology Visits HUHST for Exchange




To further strengthen the exchange and deepen cooperation between HUHST and the Silesian University of Technology (SUT) in Poland, a delegation led by Prof. Grzegorz K?apyta, Director of the International Office, and Prof. Marcin Lemanowicz and Prof. Wojciech Simka from the Faculty of Chemistry, visited HUHST on August 29, 2023. The delegation was warmly received by Prof. Chen Zhiguo, Member of CPC Committee and Vice President of HUHST. The meeting was attended by leaders from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Academic Affairs Office, Alumni Office, and the School of Materials and Environmental Engineering. The session was presided over by Huang Min, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office.

During the discussion, Prof. Chen Zhiguo expressed a warm welcome to the delegation from SUT and acknowledged the collaborative achievements in talent cultivation, academic cooperation, and exchanges between the two universities over the years. Later, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions, reaching a consensus on advancing innovative talent cultivation, technological cooperation and innovation, and faculty and student exchange programs.

Following the meeting, Prof. Grzegorz K?apyta and other members of the delegation visited the School of Materials and Environmental Engineering, where they conducted on-site inspections and exchanges regarding the characteristics of the chemistry program and cultivation models of innovative applied talents. They also toured the campus and visited collaborative bases between HUHST and enterprises.

The visit from the delegation of SUT holds significant importance in expanding the collaborative outcomes between the two institutions. Consensus on new directions for future cooperation was reached, laying a solid foundation for the initiation of new collaborative projects.
